When Serge Normant decided to rent three floors of a five story townhouse for his eponymous hair salon in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, he came to us for assistance with design and NYC Department of Buildings approvals. Given his need to open quickly, we were able to swiftly provide a construction drawing set, with extensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural work, as well as work closely with the General Contractor to finalize design decisions during construction. The renovation work maintains the charm and vintage decor of an old house while having the technical upgrades required to handle countless shampoo bowls, blow dryers, and fumes from hair chemicals, and durability to handle the large numbers of people in and out of this popular hair salon with some of the world’s most well-known hair stylists.
