This circa 1900 paper doily factory in Brooklyn, NY sat dormant for over 10 years. Glickman Schlesinger Architects was the architect for the full renovation of the building that was completed in September 2012. The ground floor of the 7,000 square foot building is the new home for the Williamsburg Neighborhood Nursery School, a not-for-profit nursery school established in 1999. The second floor consists of two apartments - a rental studio and an owner-occupied two-bedroom two-bathroom unit. The project called for all new HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as new interior partitions, windows, skylights and roof access for eventual habitation.
