PHOENICIA DINER

PHOENICIA DINER

The owner bought this 1960s Diner located on Route 28 in the Catskills and it was due for a refresh.  In collaboration with graphic designer Gabriele Wilson who created the menus and signage, we updated the Phoenicia Diner’s appearance and established a new identity for the Diner which prides itself on using ingredients from local farms.  One of the Diner’s best assets is its view of the mountains, hidden behind curtains and coat racks in the old Diner.

We removed all the vertical elements that were obstructing the view and added a wood ceiling, new upholstery, and changed the lighting layout. Painted walls replaced the old wall paneling and steel columns are now exposed. The space is brighter and appetizing. The restaurant is packed and customers are raving about the atmosphere.
